One of the reasons I don't like Hillary...
Am I the only woman who finds it hard to trust a smart, successful, wealthy woman who is married to a guy
the WHOLE WORLD knows has cheated on her repeatedly (yes I know he's Bill Clinton, but I also know he's a lousy husband). I could understand if she were religious and therefore opposed to divorce, or financially destitute, but that's not Hillary Clinton. It's pretty apparent that Hillary puts up with a fraud of a marriage for access to political power. It's creepy, it doesn't speak well of her personal integrity, and it's not feminist.
There seems to be some unwritten rule that (except on the Daily Show) Bill's infidelity can't be mentioned, except the occasional allusion by the Clinton campaign which seems designed to make women empathize with Hillary. As you can see, it's not working for me. I could empathize with her having been married to a jerk, but since she's decided to stay in the marriage, I just can't relate.
I don't hate Hillary Clinton, and I don't think she's evil, but I won't vote for her.

Honestly, the best thing I can see about a Hillary presidency is that her divisive style would make it difficult for anything to get done on Capitol Hill, and at least we wouldn't get any new big inefficient government programs. (I'm at least half Libertarian).
No two people will ever agree on everything! :)
I'm not a Hillary fan either and it's really hard for me not to support a woman for President, as much as I'd like to see a woman in the White House. I just don't think she's the right woman. As far as I can see, she's been fine as a Senator and she has good experience, but I think there would be too much distraction caused by whatever role Bill would end up playing (and you know he'd be right in there). Too many people really dislike them, especially as a "them" and based on how it was when Bill was President, I'm sure it would be "them" running things. I'm all about Obama, although his lack of experience does give me a bit of concern! But he's a smart guy, and ultimately I think capable.
If Obama doesn't get the election, and it's Hillary, I will very seriously consider voting for McCain. My staunch Democrat grandfather will probably return to haunt me (he would have voted for a dog running as Democrat before voting Republican) but I kinda like McCain. Maybe Matt's Republican influence is finally rubbing off on me! (Except he'll never turn me into a Bush fan).
