On Monday we're heading out on a family roadtrip that will eventually take us to Pismo Beach, CA.  We'll be driving across corn country, over the Rockies, through 4 Corners, on to the Grand Canyon, and then finally across the desert to the Pacific Ocean.  We're not entirely sure what route we'll take back. We were going to go home via Mt Rushmore, but apparently we'd be passing through during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, so it doesn't seem like the right time.  Maybe Yellowstone?  We'll figure something out.

We've got the cartop carrier (mental note-- measure height of van WITH carrier), DVD players for the kids, ear plugs for the grownups, and lots of caffeine, what could go wrong?

I'm not sure I'll update my blog while we're gone, but I'll take lots of pictures and post them eventually!
