I'm taking Dawn's tag, and passing it on.
The meme is to write 3 things I do right as a mom.
- I accept my kids as the neat little individuals they are, and try to remember the positive aspects of whatever quirk is making me crazy.
- I'm not neurotic about food, and so far they don't seem to be either.
- I don't worry (much) about what other people think of my parenting choices, I just do what dh and I think is best for our kids at the moment, and let the rest of the world react in whatever way they choose.
I do lots and lots of things wrong, but my kids seem to be doing ok despite me!
- The rules of the game get posted on the beginning.
- Each player answers the questions about himself.
- At the end of the post, the player tags five people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they’ve been tagged and asking them to read their blog.
What I was doing ten years ago:
10 years ago, I was newly married with a new job, a new house, and a new dog. It was a fun time. :)
Five things on my To-Do list today: (Well the day is over, but I can give you tomorrow's plan)
- Meal planning for the week
- Grocery shopping
- order a new art program I just found for my girls ( http://www.geeguides.com/homeschools/ )
- figure out what to do with the sand pile on my driveway
- laundry (there's always laundry!)
- replace all the carpet in our house
- make sure our town gets a decent library
- hire someone to take care of our yard (aka never scoop dog poop again)
- support organizations that support/educate underprivileged parents
- sleep more
Three of my bad habits/qualities:
- I have trouble finishing things
- I'm lazy
- I tend to fly off the handle if I feel like someone has been rude to me
Five places I’ve lived:
- New York
- Washington DC
- Delaware
- Pennsylvania
- Virginia
Five Jobs that I have had:
- File Clerk
- Sales Associate
- Pavement marking retro-reflectivity measurer
- Mechanical engineer
- editor (this is unpaid, so it only kind of counts)
- The Emerald City of Oz by L. Frank Baum and John R. Neill
- The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper, George Hauman, and Doris Hauman
- Big Bear, Little Bear by David Bedford and Jane Chapman
- The Wide Window (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 3) by Lemony Snicket and Michael Kupperman
